Once you survive the onslaught the rest of the mission is easy. If I recall there are a few waves of enemies from opposing directions so you could use a few mine layers to prepare a nasty surprise for the subsequent waves while your capital ship fleet is dealing with the first. Mine layers do a tonne of damage but it needs a bit of preparation to get the minefields in the right places. Build repair corvettes and minelayers instead. Try to prioritise targets but in general ion frigates followed by destroyers followed by cruisers will give you the quickest damage reduction.ДЈ I don't recommend salvage corvettes because they take to long to get back in the fight after a capture. Focus fire your capital ship fleet to quickly reduce the number of attackers. I didn't use repair corvettes the entire game until this mission and they turned out to be the vital trick to keeping my Mother ship alive long enough.Дў Next you must whittle down incoming damage as quickly as possible. Just make sure to use your entire cap on repair frigates. The frigate cap however limits the number of repair frigates. You will be attacked very soon after arrival so you must prepare your ship composition before ending the previous mission.ДЎ First off you need to keep your mother ship alive as long as possible so every repair ship must focus on it. It's been a while but I do remember a few very specific techniques helped me overcome that mission.Д . Please point me in the right direction and I'll be on my way :)

Has anyone else here encountered the same or similar issues? Do you know why I'm being greeted with an overwhelming fleet within the first 60 seconds? Do you have some outlandish idea for how to compete against this fleet? I'll be grateful for anything <3Д®dit: If this is the wrong place for a post like this, I apologize. I've tried moving my Capital ships and Fighters to intercept their counterparts ASAP I've tried a handful of creative uses of the Salvage Corvettes to reduce numbers of heavy hitters I've tried backpedalling a mission or two to reduce my fleet size/strength, but this all has had no discernible effect. Not to be discouraged, I read comments and replies and tried changing my tactics to be dependant on every single second. So far most people's issues with the mission are not the same I can't find any other instances of the enemy fleet popping up out of nowhere to ruin their days.

They all target the Mothership and within two to three minutes, KRAKOW! goes the Mothership and it's game over.ДЄfter a handful of frustrating and futile attempts I decided to search the interbutts to see if anyone had come up with a solution.

Fighters show up from above and below and directly ahead comes the Capital ships. I've barely got my Fighter and Corvette class ships out when I'm confronted by what seems to be the entirety of the enemy fleet at once.

This is not to say that the previous missions have been cakewalks, but Mission 16 seems almost impossible in comparison to the challenges faced throughout the game so far.ДЄs the tl dr says: the mission starts with the MS and fleet entering the field and the MS begins disgorging the smaller ships.

I'm at a loss for what to do, and it's put a halt to my gameplay until I can either get some help or figure it out myself. I've been having a blast since picking up the remastered version of Homeworld, up until the last mission at Hiigara. Tl dr hyperspace into mission, bombarded by overwhelming enemy fleet immediately with barely enough time for ships to auto-undock until Mothership is blown apart.
